Funding and Intake
At Unlimited Behavior Solutions, we are committed to helping families navigate funding options while maintaining a focus on individualized, high-quality care. We work collaboratively with families and funding sources to ensure services are aligned with each individual’s needs and goals.
No Insurance Model
UBS operates outside of traditional insurance-based models. This allows us to maintain clinical integrity, flexibility, and a truly individualized approach without being limited by insurance authorizations, service caps, or standardized treatment requirements. Our recommendations are based on what is clinically appropriate and meaningful for the individual—not dictated by insurance constraints.
Regional Center Funding (Lanterman Act & IPP)
Many of the individuals we serve receive funding through Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act via their local Regional Center. Services are authorized through the Individual Program Plan (IPP), which identifies the individual’s goals, needs, and supports.
We work closely with families, service coordinators, and support teams to develop proposals and services that align with IPP goals. Our focus is on providing individualized, outcome-driven services that support independence, community integration, and quality of life.
Self-Determination Program (SDP)
UBS supports individuals participating in California’s Self-Determination Program, which allows greater flexibility, choice, and control over services and supports. Through SDP, individuals and families can select providers and design services that best meet their unique needs.
We collaborate with Independent Facilitators and Financial Management Services (FMS) to ensure a smooth process from intake through ongoing service delivery. Our team is experienced in developing individualized programs that align with the person-centered principles of SDP.
Private Pay
We offer private pay options for families seeking direct services outside of Regional Center funding. Private pay allows for flexible scheduling, individualized service delivery, and immediate access to support without waiting for funding authorization.
Getting Started: Intake & Funding Process
Initial Consultation
We begin with a collaborative consultation to understand the individual's needs, goals, strengths, and current challenges. This helps determine service fit and priority areas.
Funding & Service Coordination
We review available funding options, including Regional Center, Self-Determination, school districts or private pay. When applicable, we coordinate with the service coordinator, Independent Facilitator, and Financial Management Service (FMS).
Assessment & Planning
We conduct individualized assessments and develop a person-centered treatment plan aligned with real-life outcomes, independence, and quality of life.
Getting to Know the Individual & Program Development
Services begin with a strong emphasis on building rapport and understanding the individual within the context of their family and support system. We take time to learn preferences, strengths, communication style, and daily routines while collaborating closely with caregivers. Initial programs and intervention plans are developed based on assessment findings and are introduced through active teaching and probing to evaluate responsiveness. We continuously refine and adjust programming in real time, ensuring that intervention is individualized, effective, and aligned with the individual’s needs and pace of learning.
Ongoing Review & Adjustment
We continuously evaluate progress and make real-time adjustments to ensure intervention remains effective, relevant, and aligned with the individual’s evolving needs.
